Caravelle is located on one of the loveliest beaches in the Caribbean extending for four miles. This village also has a card room, video room and an intimate specialty restaurant on the beach. There are 2 restaurants, 2 bars, evening entertainment and a modern nightclub.

Thirty years ago in Guadeloupe, on Grande-Terre near the colourful Pointe-à-Pitre, Club Med selected one of the island's most beautiful golden sand beaches to establish its Village. Renovated in the tropical spirit of the Caribbean, near the emerald sea, La Caravelle gives you a chance to  taking it easy in privileged surroundings, open to the culinary flavours and culture of an island of variety.

Accommodations

Along one of the Caribbean's most beautiful golden sandy beaches, the resort includes several buildings. Les Saintes, set of one-level bungalows, in a more isolated location, near the specialty restaurant and the beach. The Marie Galante, a two-storey building, with no elevator and the Basse Terre and Grande Terre buildings. In Basse Terre rooms are split between five floors with an elevator. The 4th and 5th floors have an ocean view. The first two floors offer a lush tropical garden view. In Grande Terre rooms are split between two floors, with a garden or ocean view (no elevator or balcony). The resort consists of 326 rooms which include bathroom with shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, coffee machine, iron/ironing board, radio / CD player, telephone, TV and personal safe.

Hibiscus
With its unrestricted terrace view over the sea and the beach and its international buffets, the Village’s main restaurant invites you to spend time relaxing with family or friends. There is a baby corner where parents can prepare meals for their little ones.  This is a non-smoking restaurant.

Biguine
At one of the tips of the Village, this restaurant welcomes you to enjoy lunch or an evening meal right by the waters edge. An intense moment of relaxation. Open for evening meals (certain evenings only). This restaurant also welcomes you for a late lunch on your return from an excursion.  On reservation only, at Reception. Waiter service. This is a non-smoking restaurant.

The Colibri
This bar, set in the heart of the Village, will be a meeting place for the whole family. Get away from it all as you look out over the swimming pool and the ocean.  A cigar cellar service is available to you. The terrace of this bar is a smoking area.

 Mango Bar In the shade of the coconut palms, on the beach, this bar welcomes you for revitalizing cocktails with your feet in the sand. A snack service is available.
