Disney Family Travel Escapes

Disney – Tour the California Coast in Style

You don’t have to go far from home to enjoy a vacation! Since the Disney Cruise Line has teamed up with the Pixar team, it’s never been a better time to book a family vacation to check out the coast. Aside from all of the fun aboard the cruise ship, you will also get to experience frequent stops along the way which will give everyone a chance to have fun. Although, there’s plenty of things to do on board the ship as well, like classes, swimming and live shows.

One of the first ports that the Disney cruise stops at is Los Angeles, where you’ll not only find great shopping, but also a wonderful selection of fine and casual dining. This is the perfect place to stop if you’re planning on staying at the Disney Resort for the remainder of your trip because you won’t have to travel very far. Cruise lengths differ from a few days to a week, so make sure you pick one that won’t make you feel too rushed. Then again, you may only want to take a four day cruise if you would rather spend the rest of the week playing on rides at the theme parks!

Disney cruises aren’t just for kids, either. Couples can also enjoy the ride, too, especially when the cruise stops at San Francisco. You can take the time to browse through fine art galleries and quirky dining places, or check out some of the museums and wine tasting events that California is known for. Then again, some of the Disney Cruises also feature wine tasting onboard, too, so it’s a win-win situation! Of course, no stop to San Francisco would be complete without visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, so don’t forget to include that of your list of things to do.

The Disney cruise along the California coast also stops at San Diego, which means the whole family will have an opportunity to explore the beaches and boardwalks in the area. Additionally, this is also the home of the Sand Diego Zoo, which has some of the best display in the United States – this is a wonderful stop to make if you’re traveling with children. If you’re already planning on checking out the theme park, then you should definitely consider booking a cruise at the same time for an added element of fun that’s sure to create lasting memories for a lifetime.

Family Friendly Vacations

Family Friendly – How to Plan a Vacation for the Whole Family

Sometimes, figuring out how to have the best family friendly vacation can get frustrating, especially when you’re trying to plan for multiple age groups. However, it doesn’t have to be hard! There are plenty of things that both kids and adults can enjoy, and most can be adapted so that they are great for younger children, as well. On a side note, it’s important to make sure that you’re stopping frequently for meal breaks if you’re traveling with younger kids so that everyone stays in a good mood. No one likes to bring home cranky pictures.

When it comes to finding family friendly entertainment, it’s usually best to go for variety. This is especially true if you’re traveling with younger children who don’t have a very long attention span.  Then again, adults like a change in pace, too! For example, make sure you include a mix of educational stops, like museums, with fun ones, like interesting landmarks and silly entertainment venues. Just remember that you shouldn’t be set in your plans. Flexibility is the key to having a fun vacation because things change, like the amount of traffic that you have to sit through to get to certain destinations.

If you’re trying to find a great deal on family friendly dining and lodging, then you may want to check out some of the all inclusive vacation deals that are available. The chances are pretty high that you’ll be able to find a Club Med resort in the area, which means you won’t have to pay for everything individually. This can really create a lot more freedom, and it’s always nice not to have to think about every single item that you have to purchase. After all, who wants to watch their money drain away while they’re trying to relax?

One of the best examples of a family friendly vacation is one to Disney World! There are all kinds of fun things to do there, including rides, live events and fun dining adventures. Since there are multiple theme parks in close proximity to each other it’s really easy to find something that the entire family will enjoy, from taking exciting tours through haunted houses to more laid back fun, like checking out petting zoos and other animal themed attractions. And the best part is that the park is geared for kids so you don’t have to worry about your children getting bored.

With updates being made to many of the resorts, you will be catered to by top of the line professionals who are able to offer beautifully plush accommodations.  This includes new family suites that boast large, expansive rooms with separate sleeping areas for children and parents.  Also, you will be living extravagantly with robes and slippers as well as the best television and internet technology available.  Of course, when you travel to a beautiful destination, you will more than likely not be in your room too much.  This is why the entertainment is so amazing.

The entertainment on a Club Med vacation is next to none.  Throughout the day you and your children can lay at the beach with your feet in the white sand, take Latin salsa dancing classes, learn how to drive a sailboat, take scuba diving lessons and even try your hand in gourmet cooking.  The possibilities are endless as to what you can do while in a club village.  However, you can also take the time to relax and simply enjoy the warm tropical breeze while you bask in the hot sun.

When you choose a Club Med vacation, you can be confident that your children are well taken care of.  At locations such as Ixtapa, Mexico you can now even bring your baby.  At Baby Club Med, your child from four to twenty three months can be well taken care of while you have some private time.  Also, the expansive children’s programs that are available will bring excitement as well.

All the way up to age seventeen, your child can make new friends and have memories that they will return home and tell their friends about.  You can be confident that when you choose to take a family vacation at an all inclusive, you will be less stressed and everyone will have something fun to do.
